As a coach, your team page is your command center for managing players, parents, and team details.

Viewing Your Roster

Your roster shows all players on the team along with their parent/guardian contact info. Access it from the Teams tab. Each player on the roster shows their status:
  • Active — Approved and on the roster
  • Pending — Parent registered, awaiting your approval
  • Inactive — Removed from the active roster but not deleted

Adding Players to Your Team

There are two ways to add players:
  1. Invite codes — Generate an invite code and share it with parents. They enter the code in their app to join. See Invite Codes.
  2. Direct add — Add a player manually from your team settings.

Approving Player Registrations

When parents register their children through an invite code or online registration, you may need to approve them:
  1. Go to your Team page
  2. Look for players with a Pending badge
  3. Review the player details
  4. Tap Approve to add them to the active roster, or Decline to reject the registration
Once approved, the family gains access to the team calendar, events, and chat.

Player Limits

You can set a maximum roster size for each team to prevent over-enrollment:
  • Set the limit when creating the team or in team settings
  • Once a team reaches its limit, new registrations are blocked
  • You can adjust the limit at any time

Team Members

Each team can have:
  • Players — The athletes
  • Coaches — Can manage events, rosters, and messaging
  • Parents/Guardians — Linked to players, receive notifications and updates

Team Settings

From your team page, you can:
  • Edit the team name and sport
  • View and manage the full roster
  • Generate and manage invite codes
  • Toggle team messaging on or off
  • Set player limits

Player Privacy

HuddleUp is built with player privacy in mind. The app collects only birth month and year — never an exact birth date. This gives you age-appropriate grouping for league divisions without exposing full personal information.
