Each child in your family gets their own player profile in HuddleUp. Players are how the app organizes schedules, teams, and notifications by child.
Adding Players
- Go to your Home screen or Settings > Players
- Tap Add Player
- Enter the player’s first and last name
- Select Male or Female
- Choose a color — this color will appear on all their calendar events
- Enter their birthday (month and year)
- Tap Save
Color Coding
Each player’s color shows up across the entire app:
- Calendar events are color-coded by player — spot whose game it is at a glance
- Team rosters show the player’s color
- Notifications indicate which child is affected
HuddleUp offers five colors: blue, orange, green, purple, and pink. Choose distinct colors for each child so you can tell their schedules apart instantly.
Editing a Player
- Go to Settings > Players
- Tap the player you want to edit
- Update their name, color, or details
- Tap Save
Viewing Team Assignments
From your player’s profile, you can see which teams they’re currently assigned to. To change assignments:
- Navigate to the Teams tab
- Tap Manage next to the player
- Assign or remove them from leagues and teams
Multiple Children
HuddleUp is designed for families with multiple kids in multiple sports. There’s no limit to how many players you can add. Each one gets:
Removing a Player
- Go to Settings > Players
- Select the player
- Tap Remove Player
Removing a player will remove them from all teams and delete their event history from your calendar.
Player Privacy
HuddleUp only collects birth month and year — never an exact birth date. This is a deliberate privacy-first design choice. Your child’s full date of birth is never stored or shared with coaches or league admins.
