The Family Calendar is HuddleUp’s core feature. It pulls together every game, practice, and event across all your children and all their sports into a single view.

How It Works

Every event from every team your children are on appears automatically in the calendar. Events are color-coded by player, so you can instantly see whose schedule you’re looking at.

Event Types

Coaches create three types of events that appear on your calendar:
  • Practices — Regular training sessions
  • Games — Matchups against other teams
  • General Events — Team meetings, picture day, end-of-season parties, etc.
Each event shows the time, location, and which player it’s for.

Calendar Views

  • Day view — See all events for a specific day
  • Week view — Plan your week at a glance
  • Month view — Big-picture overview of the season

Color Coding

Each player you’ve added has a unique color. When you see an event on the calendar, the color tells you which child it belongs to — no need to read the details. If you have multiple children on different teams, you’ll see a multi-colored calendar that makes it easy to spot overlapping schedules or busy days.

Event Details

Tap any event to see:
  • Title and type — Practice, game, or general event
  • Date and time
  • Location — With a “Get Directions” button for map navigation
  • Weather — Live conditions and game-time forecast. See Weather
  • RSVP — Tap Going, Maybe, or Can’t Go. See RSVP
  • Notes — Any additional info from the coach

Calendar Sync

You can sync your HuddleUp calendar with your phone’s native calendar (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar):
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Calendar Sync
  3. Toggle on sync for each player
  4. Copy the calendar feed URL and add it to your calendar app
Calendar sync uses a standard iCal feed, so it works with any calendar app that supports URL subscriptions. Events update automatically when coaches make changes.
